SHARE THE VISION
The foundation has partnered with California State Parks to rehab the Packard Building as an Interpretive, Education and Event Center. This partnership will enable us to present exhibits and educational programs of the 14 Governors who have lived in the Mansion. While profiling each Governor we intend to offer a more comprehensive look at what was also occurring in California during their terms of service. This vision will aid the Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park in conserving and interpreting the history of California and its Governors for the benefit of the public. The center will also be available as a rental facility, for receptions, meetings, etc. Income from the rentals will enable the Foundation to setup an Endowment Fund and share the cost of developing new exhibits, staff and maintenance of the Interpretive Center and the Mansion.
